Oh my, professor, how theatrical you are being. While husband and wife have been working until their skin has been thoroughly darkened by the sun, the two daughters are out gallivanting around, without even helping to water the yard. As to who is going to bother to worry about the unresolvable and futile question of just how it came to be that these girls were born, let’s leave that to those useless people who hang around with nothing to do.
It’s easy enough to make excuses, and what was part of the process seems like the result. Which is to say it’s the natural course of events. To put it inversely, it could be seen as the responsibility of the couple, but, well, it’s a pretty fine line. There is an infinite rotational movement to the thinking of people. It’s not just about how the subject changes in any given situation, but that people’s hearts and appearances change as they are tumbled about by new experiences.
